TOGETHER, WE CAN demand an end to these tragedies

This tragedy is so preventable. The new, “smart,” technology that is now available will do just that.

Each year, babies and toddlers perish in this agonizing way; it is not acceptable. And, the preventable deaths of hundreds of our beloved family pets every year is inhumane and has to stop.

In both these cases, it is unknown how many lives are saved but with life-changing consequences; most of which cause permanent disabilities. Near misses have devastating outcomes and can – must -- be eliminated.

No parent or pet owner should have to grieve when death or permanent injury could have been prevented. The cost-effective and easily incorporated measure now exists. It’s time it is installed in passenger vehicles.

Contact your local auto dealer or your Congressman and request the addition of this smart solution. No loving parent or pet owner should have to experience the loss, sorrow and guilt of the senseless and tragic death that occurs.
